AI Music Policy
Every song on Audiolox carries a label that says how it was made: Human-made, AI-assisted or AI-generated. This policy explains what you declare and what the labels mean.
1. Why we label music
Listeners, artists and rights holders should be able to see whether AI was used to make a song. Audiolox accepts music made with AI. We require that it is labeled honestly.
2. What you declare
When you upload a song, you state for each of these parts whether it was made by people or with AI:
- Lyrics
- Composition (melody, harmony and arrangement)
- Vocals
- Instruments
- Production (mixing and mastering)
A part is "made with AI" if an AI tool generated all or most of it. Routine tools, such as pitch correction and noise reduction, do not need to be declared.
3. The three labels
- Human-made: the lyrics, composition, vocals and instruments were all made by people.
- AI-assisted: people made at least one of those four parts, and AI made at least one. Human lyrics set to AI-generated music is an example.
- AI-generated: the lyrics, composition, vocals and instruments were all made with AI.
If a song has no lyrics or no vocals, those parts are left out and the label is decided by the parts that remain.
Using AI only for mixing or mastering is recorded in the song's details. It does not change a Human-made label.
4. Where the label appears
The label is shown wherever the song appears on Audiolox, in the apps and on the web. It cannot be hidden.
5. Rights in AI-made material
- You must have the right to use the output commercially under the terms of the AI tool you used. Some tools do not allow commercial use on free plans.
- In some countries, including the United States, material made entirely by AI may not be protected by copyright. You are responsible for understanding what rights you hold.
6. What is not allowed
- Imitating a real person's voice or likeness without their written permission.
- Presenting a song as the work of an artist who did not make it.
- AI output that copies an existing song or recording.
- Uploading large numbers of AI-generated tracks mainly to collect payments. We may limit uploads.
7. Getting it right
- You confirm your declaration when you sign the upload.
- If you made a mistake, correct it in the admin. The label is updated and the earlier declaration stays on record.
- We may review a song and ask for evidence of how it was made, such as project files or session records.
- If a declaration is false, we may change the label, remove the song and hold its earnings.
8. Reporting a wrong label
If you believe a song is labeled incorrectly, write to legal@audiolox.com with the song title, the artist and your reasons.
9. Changes
We may update this policy as industry standards and the law develop. Each version has a number and an effective date.
