Copyright and Takedown Policy

Version 1. Effective October 4, 2026.

Audiolox respects copyright and expects the same of everyone who uploads. This page explains how to report a song that infringes your rights, and how to respond if your song was removed by mistake.

1. Our approach

We respond to notices of claimed infringement under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). When we receive a valid notice, we remove or disable the material promptly.

2. Reporting infringement

Send a written notice to our copyright agent that includes all of the following:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature, or that of a person authorized to act for the rights owner.
  2. The copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
  3. The material on Audiolox you say is infringing, with enough detail for us to find it, such as the song title, the artist name and a link.
  4. Your name, address, telephone number and email address.
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the rights owner, its agent or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights owner or are authorized to act for the owner.

4. What happens after a notice

5. If your music was removed by mistake

You may send a counter-notice to our copyright agent that includes all of the following:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. The material that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith the material was removed because of a mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address and telephone number.
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address, or, if you are outside the United States, for any district in which Audiolox may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.

We will send your counter-notice to the person who complained. Unless they tell us they have filed a court action, we may restore the material between 10 and 14 business days later.

6. Repeat infringers

We close the accounts of people who infringe repeatedly.

7. False claims

Under US law (17 U.S.C. ยง 512(f)), a person who knowingly makes a false statement in a notice or a counter-notice may be liable for damages. Consider getting legal advice before you send either.
